Please note, due to unsustainable fishing practices in the local area, we have chosen not to serve fish or seafood in our Scuba Junkie Mabul Resort. As an eco-friendly dive resort and as ambassadors for the ocean, we do not want to encourage or contribute to destructive fishing methods such as fish-bombing, cyanide fishing, long-lining and trawling. Supporting these practices by serving their catch is driving the over-exploitation of the ocean and making it more challenging for remote coastal communities to provide for their families. We hope that as divers & snorkelers you will appreciate being able to enjoy the fish alive on our reefs, rather than on your plate!

We make every effort to accommodate guests with food allergies upon request. However, we ask for your understanding if we are not able to accommodate all requests - especially severe food allergy needs - as it may not be possible to change some recipes due to limited island facilities and ingredients.

Dishes that do not contain allergens are prepared in the same kitchen in which standard dishes are prepared. Dishes are also washed in a common dish washing area. Thus, there is the possibility of a small amount of allergen infiltrating a specially prepared meal in the course of processing or cooking. Guests are asked to make their own final decisions regarding food, based on the conditions described above, or alternatively bring your own snacks/breakfast/allergen-safe staple items from home.

Our spacious licensed upper floor bar gives you the chance to enjoy a cold beverage (beer, wine, spirit with mixer or soft drinks), ice-cream & snacks, whilst taking in the breezy treetop views of the Celebes Sea. Built in 2021, we also have a brand new bar located on our jetty, next to the dive centre. Here you can relax in between dives whilst enjoying the ocean breeze, or watch the sunset at the end of the day with a cold drink in your hand. 

Join us for a drink or two, swap stories with your fellow divers, play cards and board games, or just sit back and enjoy the view! You will often hear our Scuba Junkie staff playing the guitar, singing and dancing to some of the local songs, or celebrating a birthday or two...
